TOOLING/MOLD DESIGNER

Job Title: Tooling/Mold Designer

Responsibilities:

• Design Tooling/Molds: Utilize 3D-CAD software (SolidWorks/I-Mold) to design tooling and molds, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budget plans.

• Coordinate Tooling Activities: Oversee all tooling activities from Design for Manufacturing (DFM) through to qualification, ensuring timely completion.

• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with other team members and departments to achieve tooling/mold qualification, sampling, and part approval.

• Manage Design Changes: Follow up on any design changes and ensure part qualifications are met.

• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to molds, jigs, and fixtures.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Design, Tool & Die, or Mold Technology).

• Communication Skills: Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English and Malay. Mandarin speaker added advantages.

• Experience: Proven experience in tooling/mold design, with a preference for candidates with exposure to plastics injection molding.

• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with 3D-CAD software (SolidWorks/I-Mold) and a solid understanding of the tooling/mold design process.
