Job Title: Technician, Supplier Quality Department: Quality Manager/Supervisor: Engineer, Supplier Quality Position Overview: The Technician, Supplier Quality is responsible for running and managing the inspection of incoming materials, calibrations of measurement equipment, and assisting the Engineer, Supplier Quality in managing supplier quality. Responsibilities: Inspect incoming materials/components according to procedures. Maintain inspection records and ensure data entered into the computer and/or SAP system. Assist Supplier Quality Engineers in development of test methods and execution of test method validation. Maintain calibration of all measuring and testing equipment and coordinate with calibration vendors to carry out calibration activities. Train and guide inspectors on performing daily routine task and inspection process. Perform first level troubleshooting of IQA and material/component issues and escalate issues when necessary. Assist Supplier Quality Engineers in handling NCMR, SCAR and MRB. Participate in internal or external quality audits, as required. Performs other duties as required. Requirements Minimum Diploma in Engineering or Science, or with a combination of education and experience. At least 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical component visual inspection, precision measurement instruments and PCBA inspection, preferably in medical device industry. Familiarity with measuring instrumentation such as CMM, optical gauging, microscopes, micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, dial indicators, and other measurement/visual tool experience will be preferred. Well versed on reading and understand mechanical drawing and able to perform CMM programming is highly preferred. Train to basic GD&T (Geometric Dimension and Tolerance) knowledge would be an advantage. Experience in calibration is preferred. Experience in test method validation and GR&R will be an advantage. Reasonable understanding of ISO13485 requirements. Experience in GDP (Good Documentation Practices) & legible handwriting Knowledge of GLP (Good Lab Practices) will be a plus. Microsoft Excel, data entry and analytical skills. Must be proficient in both English and Malay language. Team player and ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and other employees.
