Key Responsibilities: Project Management: * Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily on-site activities to meet project timelines. * Monitor project progress and resolve issues that could delay completion. * Develop and execute resource plans for local and expatriate teams. * Ensure all site work adheres to project specifications, designs, and engineering standards, specifically for: * Piping fabrication and installation * Painting and coating works * Equipment installation * Steel structure installation Team Leadership: * Supervise and lead on-site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors. * Plan and lead activities from temporary facility setup through project execution to project closure. * Conduct daily briefings and allocate responsibilities to site personnel. * Foster a collaborative and safe working environment to ensure maximum productivity. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): * Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures. * Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments. * Ensure all workers use personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with site safety regulations. Quality Assurance: * Inspect mechanical construction work to ensure quality and compliance with engineering standards. * Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to the team. * Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure proper documentation, testing, cleaning, and reinstatement, pre-commissioning * Stakeholder Coordination: * Act as the primary contact for clients, consultants, and contractors. * Conduct regular meetings to provide project updates and address concerns. * Perform regular audits of the scope of work compliance and lead efforts in commercial dispute resolution. * Manage communication between the project site and the head office. * Budget and Resource Management: * Manage site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize usage. * Track expenses and ensure adherence to the project budget. * Approve procurement requests and oversee material deliveries. Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. * Minimum 8–10 years of experience managing site operations in oil & gas refineries or related construction projects. * Proven track record in overseeing industrial projects focused on piping, painting, equipment, and steel structure installation. * Strong knowledge of HSE standards and mechanical engineering practices. Skills and Competencies: * Excellent leadership and team management skills. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD). * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging site conditions. Additional Requirements: * Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites as required. * Familiarity with local construction laws and regulations. * Certification in HSE or Project Management (e.g., PMP, NEBOSH) is an advantage.
