SITE ENGINEER

About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team at Pembinaan Kekal Mewah Sdn Bhd, a leading construction company based in Sandakan, Sabah. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the execution of our civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and coordinate all on-site engineering activities, including supervision of construction workers, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Interpret and implement engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure the successful completion of projects

• Monitor and control the quality of construction work, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations

• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during construction, collaborating with the design team to find practical solutions

• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, site records, and material tracking

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of any concerns

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our construction processes and practices

What we're looking for

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised university

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment

• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders

• Familiarity with relevant construction regulations and safety standards

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead site personnel
