Senior Quarry Engineer

The candidate will be responsible to lead and manage day to day operations in the quarry in accordance to all legislative and company regulations and requirements. With a strong focus on health, safety and environment, you will lead and develop quarry team which requires deep understanding of quarry operations, equipment maintenance and the ability to liaise with relevant government department. You will be required to work closely with the deputy general manager to develop strategies and deliver operational goals for the site.
 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and execute effective supervision of all site personnel to achieve safety, environment, quality, production and maintenance goals.

2. Ensure crushing plants & premix plants and mobile machinery are operated efficiently to rated capacities.

3. Ensure inspections, maintenance and repair of mobile machinery and fixed plant are being performed in correct and appropriate manner and approach.

4. Identify enhancement opportunities and propose solutions for improvements

5. Develop and execute production plans and ensure the efficient operation of crushing & screening plant and the meeting of product quality and quantity standards

6. Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant legislations enforced by Federal and State Government Agencies for quarry operations.

7. Work with DGM to enforce basic safety rules on site or any SOP in future. Ensure all quarry activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards and relevant regulations.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mineral Resources or an equivalent professional certificate.

2. Minimum of five years of working experience in quarry/mining or equivalent

3. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

4. Strong negotiation and communication skills

5. Detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytical abilities

6. Ability to work independently and in a team.
