Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities 

1. Responsible to handle all aspects of Pre and Post Quantity Surveying and Contract Administration.
2. Prepare quotations, estimate cost, control costs, and budgeting.
3. Responsible for Taking-off quantities.
4. Evaluate costs from subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the subcontractors.
5. Compilation of cost comparisons and recommendations.
6. Monitor projects including materials and subcontractor cost forecast strictly adhere to the agreed budget.
7. Valuation of subcontractors' progress claims and Variation Orders.
8. Discussion, preparation, and submission of Variation Orders.
9. Responsible to prepare cost estimation, tender submission, and contract for sub-contractor.
10. Monitor and keep track of project progress.
11. Work as part of a team to ensure that the requirements of the client are delivered.
12. Any other duties that deem necessary from time to time.
13. Traveling from the office to various sites as required. 

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil, Building, Engineering, Management, or similar.
2. Preferably with working experience in related fields with minimum 5-7 years of experience.
3. Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous. 
4. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. 
5. Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills. 
6. Ability to organize, plan, and strategize. 
7. Great networking abilities.
8. Have experience with JKR or government projects especially road construction & infrastructure. 
9. Good knowledge of JKR & local authority’s specifications, standards & requirements.
10. Committed to work and willing to work extra time when required
11. Self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently as well as able to work with others as a team
