Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

About the Opportunity

We are actively looking for a Senior Murex Developer to join one of our client’s global market technology teams. This is a strategic position requiring in-depth experience with Murex, SQL, and Unix, supporting high-performance financial systems in a dynamic engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain Murex workflows and interfaces.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and procedures for robust data handling and reporting.
• Automate and integrate processes using Unix scripting.
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, and performance tuning for Murex.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Murex and underlying infrastructure.
• Maintain Oracle and SQL Server 2012 databases.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
• Ensure compliance, quality assurance, and proper documentation standards.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience Level: 6–9 years in Murex development.
• Core Skills:
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Murex, SQL, and Unix.
  • Good understanding of Oracle and SQL Server 2012.
  • Familiarity with Market Risk domain (preferred).
  • Exposure to Java (nice to have).
• OS Experience: Windows 2012 and Unix/Linux.
