Safety & Health Officer (SHO)

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead all site safety and health matters to ensure full compliance with local regulations and client (Owner) requirements.

• Prepare and implement Safety & Health Plans, risk assessments, and method statements in line with project specifications.

• Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safety procedures.

• Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities (e.g. DOSH) on all safety-related matters.

• Attend client safety meetings, present reports, and professionally handle client audits or inquiries.

• Organize toolbox meetings, safety training, and emergency drills.

• Manage incident investigations and ensure timely submission of reports to management and regulatory bodies.

• Must hold a valid Green Book issued by DOSH Malaysia.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or industrial sector.

• Strong knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and related regulations.

• Good communication and coordination skills, both written and verbal.

• Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced site environment.
