About the role What you'll be doing Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws, regulations, and permits. Conduct environmental assessments and prepare necessary documentation, such as Environmental Impact Assessments (ElAs) and Environmental Management Plans (EMPs). Perform baseline environmental assessments before construction begins. Conduct regular site inspections and monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance with environmental standards. Monitor air quality, water quality, soil conditions, and noise levels during construction. Develop and implement strategies to minimize the environmental impact of construction activities. Oversee the implementation of erosion and sediment control measures. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts on-site. Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials. Maintain accurate records of environmental monitoring data, incidents, and compliance efforts. Prepare and submit regular environmental performance reports to regulatory authorities and stakeholders. Develop and implement emergency response plans for environmental. What we're looking for Certified Safety and Health Officer (CePSWAM) qualification Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Safety & Health Officer in the Environmental Engineering industry Strong knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations and best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels Ability to think critically, problem-solve and make sound judgements Strong organizational and attention to detail skills Proficient in using safety management software and data analysis
