Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to support a Metro-E Migration Project. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams and customers, leading the migration process, resolving technical issues, and ensuring a seamless transition of services. This is a hands-on engineering role for candidates with solid IP Core and network routing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead migration planning and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct weekly meetings to track migration progress and address issues.
• Support customers in data gathering, port mapping, and document updates.
• Create and maintain procedural documentation and migration scripts.
• Provide on-site technical support during migration phases.
• Troubleshoot network issues and ensure smooth service cutovers.
• Monitor post-migration network performance and prepare detailed reports.
• Respond to technical inquiries and assist in issue resolution as needed.

Key Requirements:

Must-Have:

• Strong understanding of networking protocols
• In-depth knowledge of BGP (including its types)
• Understanding of Route Reflectors and their functions
• Proven experience in IP Core network operations or projects

Good-to-Have:

• Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
• Experience in telco or ISP environments
