The Senior Media Manager is responsible for overseeing media planning and strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering innovative, effective campaigns. This role plays a leadership position in driving the strategic direction of client accounts and guiding the media team. The Senior Media Manager will mentor, coach, and develop team members while championing a culture of high performance and innovation. This role requires a deep understanding of the client’s business, translating objectives into comprehensive media strategies across both offline and digital channels. Job Responsibilities: Client and Account Leadership: Oversee and safeguard the integrity of media plans and budget allocations across multiple client accounts. Ensure all deliverables to clients are of the highest standard; review and approve all key documents and presentations before distribution. Lead strategic client conversations and represent the agency in high-level meetings. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level clients and agency partners. Guide the team in campaign strategy, briefing, implementation, and optimization to maximize effectiveness and results. Provide strategic input and challenge assumptions to ensure media plans align with the client's business goals. Drive consistent application of standard processes and frameworks across campaigns. Push for innovation in every media recommendation, incorporating new platforms, data, and technology. Collaborate with internal specialist units to deliver best-in-class media strategies. Cultivate relationships with external agencies and senior media vendor stakeholders. Maintain an expert-level understanding of both offline and digital media channels. Take ownership of high-stakes, ad-hoc projects as assigned by leadership. Team Leadership and Business Growth: Lead and manage a team of media professionals, fostering growth, accountability, and excellence. Own financial processes, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation and reporting. Partner with Group Head / Associate Director to identify and drive organic growth opportunities within accounts. Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support to team members. Act as a role model, setting high standards in work ethic, communication, and client servicing. Job Requirements: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a media agency environment, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Strong strategic acumen with the ability to connect media planning to broader business goals. Proven expertise in digital and offline media planning and activation. High proficiency in Excel and media planning tools; able to extract and apply insights from data. Confident presenting to and influencing senior clients and stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead and collaborate across diverse teams. Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy in all work. Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Strong sense of accountability and professional maturity.
