Job Description

Summary:

The Senior Associate, Addressable Activation is responsible for all programmatic campaign management tasks, all programmatic campaign management tasks which include strategic planning, activation and optimization of programmatic campaigns across multiple channels and platforms. Proven experience providing programmatic excellence across strategy, planning, channel and format selection, data and audience segmentation and selection, KPI and objective setting, benchmarking, optimizations, recommendations and performance analysis is a must.  Experience in planning, executing, and measuring across all stages of the funnel is needed.

You will also assist in establishing strong relationships with our tech, data, and publisher partners and you will work closely with the Matterkind programmatic team, Magna, and agency teams dedicated to these client accounts. The role may require some client facing time (although this will mainly be managed by the agency), but you will be required to have an ability to showcase and demonstrate subject matter expertise both at a micro (daily optimizations) and macro (test and learn innovation projects) level. You will have an ability to manage multiple stakeholders and expectations across competing priorities, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

Client:

  • Manage daily client requests, workflow & relationships.
  • Develop a deep, trusted understanding of client's business.
  • Harvest actionable insights, use learnings, and propose strategic recommendations or innovative test and learn opportunities.
  • Attend client meetings and briefing sessions where required.

Executional Excellence and Technical Understanding/ Campaign Management:

  • Manage campaign set up in platform and QA all activity.
  • Manage bespoke Private Marketplace (PMP) and deal creation for your clients working closely with Magna, Demand Side Platform (DSP) partners and direct publishers.
  • Design bespoke reporting dashboard and tools to effectively manage activity across multiple clients and platforms.
  • Conduct daily monitoring of campaign; performance, pacing and discrepancies ensuring information is clearly communicated to the client and internal team members through regular established reports at key milestones.
  • Identify potential performance/technical issues (both micro and macro) and address them as necessary with both a healthy sense of urgency and clear action points.
  • Communicate to clients the best possible optimization through data and visualizations.
  • Input and update optimizations in real time as parameters change.
  • Establish clear systems to ensure all key campaign parameters are adhered to.
  • Monitor media spend for a portfolio of campaigns to ensure on-time completion.
  • Assist in evolving the approach through both hygiene (process) and thought leadership (innovation).
  • Ability to evaluate and remain DSP agnostic as new opportunities arise.

People:

  • Work closely with client, agency stakeholders and wider Matterkind Malaysia team on the successful development, implementation and optimization of programmatic campaigns.
  • Responsible for managing workflow and deliverables across the team and client.
  • Attending all relevant vendor and partner meetings and researching new opportunities e.g., identify, negotiate and establish PMPs with relevant exchanges/ publishers.
  • Manage and mentor more junior members of your team, upskill their knowledge and skillset.
  • Support and drive corporate culture initiatives.

Thought Leadership/ Innovation:

  • Help in designing and delivering performance updates, business reviews, new audience- based programmatic solutions and growth opportunity presentations along with team leads.
  • Meet regularly with marketplace representatives to stay updated on new offerings & opportunities.
  • Assist in management of cross-functional projects across optimization, technology, operations, finance, audience intelligence, client, planning agency, 3rd party.
  • Support in educating colleagues /clients on programmatic & best practice.
  • Contribute to programmatic solutions and driving opportunities for our clients internally.
  • Contribute to long-term planning, identifying key opportunities on a quarterly basis.

Commercial:

  • Business acumen with an ability to have articulate and mature conversations with all manner of stakeholders.
  • Responsible for accurate billing and timely reconciliation between your clients in line with our finance process.
  • Able to execute business objectives.
  • Ability to track financial & media metrics reconciling performance parameters.
  • Drive key areas of programmatic innovation and growth, by identifying relevant tests and learning opportunities.
  • High attention to detail with limited errors across all role functions.

KPIs:

  • Client satisfaction in programmatic recommendations and thought leadership.
  • 360 feedbacks on collaborating with the internal stakeholders & client team.
  • Recommendations that are realized and translated into best practise.
  • New partnerships and innovation project recommendation and implementation.
  • Contribute to internal team projects and roll out updates and solutions.
  • Out of scope opportunities are sourced and realised.
  • Contribution to the culture and identity of Matterkind Malaysia and the wider IPG Mediabrands group.
  • Any additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in planning, executing and measurement across all stages of the funnel is needed
  • Hands-on experience of trading in DV360 and The Trade Desk and a strong understanding of the Google marketing stack is compulsory, experience across other DSPs including Adform and Adobe is preferable
  • Strong understanding of data capabilities, inventory and publishers across Malaysia and SEA markets is required
  • Knowledge and understanding of DMP’s, Analytics, DCO and reporting automation/data visualization would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Meticulous and structured.
