This position manages and supervises all the operations of the Resort’s recreation department which includes Membership Sales, Poolside, Kid Club (YCoTW), Beach and the Gymnasium. The Manager is fully responsible for guests and staff satisfaction as well as wellness, cleanliness, activities for guests of the Resort, safety in the department and profitability. The Manager is also responsible to meet the Identified Departmental Mission Statement and Objectives/Goals. Your responsibilities will be: Manages to achieve optimum guest experience. Monitors the performance of the Membership Sales, Gymnasium, Poolside and Kids Club (YCoTW) Schedules with all associates to correspond the volume of business. Ensures that associates are well groomed and punctual. Responsible for revenue and profitability of the recreation department, i.e., to improve the membership sales, poolside, kids club, team building and tele-match revenue. Ensures that all working areas, furnishings and equipment are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and repairs. Greets and assists guests as and when required. Ensures that par levels of operating supplies are maintained. Prepares monthly revenue and expenses report. Ensures that regular maintenance and cleaning of all equipment including gymnasium, tennis courts, locker rooms and games equipment’s, take place. Ensures that associates are equipped with the appropriate technical skills and product knowledge through on-going training programmes, equipment training, first aids skills, life saving skills, general side seeing knowledge and daily pre-shift briefings. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Resort’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training associates, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems. To be eligible for this role, you will require: Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in recreation/Hospitality Management, or equivalent. Certification pool safety, First Aid and CPR and “Bronze Medallion”. A minimum 4 years supervisory experience in recreation operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational motivational skills.
