INSPECTOR OF WORKS - ELECTRICAL

About the role

As an Inspector of Works - Electrical at PEMBINAAN KEKAL MEWAH SDN BHD', you will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting the electrical works on construction projects in Sandakan, Sabah. This full-time position is crucial in ensuring the quality and safety of the company's electrical installations.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of electrical works

• Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and the company's safety standards

• Reviewing and approving electrical drawings, specifications, and work plans

• Identifying and addressing any electrical issues or defects in a timely manner

• Providing technical guidance and support to the electrical contractors and site teams

• Preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining accurate records of the electrical work

• Collaborating with the project management team to coordinate the electrical work with other trades

What we're looking for

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field

• 5+ years of experience as an Inspector of Works or Clerk of Works in the construction industry

• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and construction best practices

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with contractors and stakeholders

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
