FARM INSPECTION OFFICER (POULTRY)

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated farm inspection officer (poultry) to conduct on-site inspections on our poultry farms and report to Farm Management team. This role involves regular farm visits, data collection, analysis of farm data, proposing improvement suggestions and preparing reports to support continuous improvement of farm performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of poultry farms to monitor flock conditions, farm hygiene, housing, ventilation and general farm practices

• Observe and report on bird health, behavior, mortality rates, and environmental factors affecting performance

• Collect and analyse relevant farm data (eg. temperature, feed intake, water consumption, growth performance) to drive continuous improvement

• Identify and report any issues or non-conformities, and work closely with farm managers to implement corrective actions

• Provide training and guidance to farm staff on best practices in poultry farming, animal welfare, and biosecurity measures

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry regulations, technologies, and best practices in poultry farming

• Collect samples for laboratory testing when needed

• Work closely with farm managers and staff to understand daily practices and provide technical feedback

• Support the development and implementation SOP related to farm

• Prepare structured reports with observations, data summaries, and recommendations for improvement

What we're looking for

• Degree/Diploma in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, or a related field preferred

• Previous experience in poultry farming or livestock is a plus

• Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently

• Willing to travel

• Basic computer skills; able to use Excel and Word.
