Responsibilities To plan a head on the daily activities for each sector. Oversee and direct construction projects from conceptual to completion. Review and report work progress on daily basis. Monitor project against established timelines while providing regular updates to stakeholders through reports. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and budget. Create and manage budgets, ensuring cost effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints. Build and lead a construction team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Assign task, set expectations, and provide guidance to team members. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor the progress and compliance based on the work planning. Monitor the performance of construction workers and subcontractors while resolving any issue that arise during construction. Implement quality control measures to ensure proper construction techniques meets specified standards. Conduct regular inspections and address any deviations from project plans. Ability to Identify potential risk and develop mitigation strategies while addressing unforeseen issues promptly to minimise project delays. Foster effective communication among team members while addressing concerns and resolving conflict. To maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, RFI’s , contracts and correspondence. Proposed and select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory. Ability to plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging ones. Requirements and skills Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent 40 years and above 15 years of proven working experience in construction management 10 years minimum in of road construction, earthworks and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards Advanced knowledge of construction management processes and methods. In-depth knowledge of road construction, earthworks and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards Understanding of all facets of the construction process Familiarity with construction management software packages Ability to plan and see the “big picture” Competent in conflict and crisis management Strong leadership and human resources management skills Excellent time and project management skills Persistent and capable to work under pressure
