Assistant IT Manager (Software & Infrastructure)

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant IT Manager to oversee software system analysis, IT infrastructure, and database administration. The ideal candidate will manage and grow our IT team while ensuring efficient troubleshooting and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software System Analysis:

  1) Analyze third-party software systems to understand their structure and provide efficient issue troubleshooting and solutions.

  2) Work closely with vendors to ensure seamless system integration and functionality.

• Database Administration:

  1) Manage SQL Server database administration, optimization, and performance tuning.

  2) Ensure data security, integrity, and backup processes.

• IT Equipment Management:

  1) Oversee company assets, including purchasing, cleaning, setup, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.

  2) Ensure all IT assets are properly maintained and updated.

• Team Leadership & Growth:

  1) Manage and grow the IT team, assigning tasks and ensuring project deadlines are met.

  2) Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff.

• Vendor & Licensing Management:

  1) Collaborate with third-party software & services vendors and/or technicians regarding licensing, issues, and system maintenance.

  2) Maintain strong relationships to ensure continuous software support and upgrades.

• Technology & Innovation:

  1) Continuously explore new systems and technologies to drive company improvements and develop better solutions on demand.

  2) Recommend innovative IT strategies for operational efficiency.

• Network & Access Control:

  1) Manage company network share folder access for employees.

  2) Implement security measures to ensure confidentiality and compliance.

• Network & Data Risk Management:

  1) Ensure company data protection through cybersecurity protocols and preventive measures.

  2) Develop strategies to safeguard confidential information.

  3) Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management controls and initiatives.

• Project Planning & Execution:

  1) Assist in the development of project plans, budgets, and timelines, incorporating risk assessments.

  2) Plan and prioritize IT-related tasks effectively.

  3) Implement strategies for seamless IT project execution.

• Infrastructure & Technical Backup Role:

  1) Serve as a backup resource for critical technical, infrastructure, and core system support, aiding during outages, emergencies, or periods of high demand, including risk response and technology troubleshooting.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  1) Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all IT policies, procedures, risk assessments, emerging technology evaluations, IT project, IT purchases, IT related document such IT processes, service report, presentation slide and memorandums and regular department report.

 Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ System Management/ Software Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.

• Preferably minimum 5 years of relevant working experience (Preferred IT Infrastructure management, software development, database administration). At least 2 years in managerial or leadership experience.

• Experience with SQL Server, Autocount Accounting System, PowerBI, experience with maintaining and administering servers, infrastructures, networking.

• Possess a high sense of urgency, judgement, and strong analytical skill.

• Proven experience in software analysis, IT equipment management, and vendor coordination.

• Ability to lead and manage IT teams efficiently.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and task planning abilities.
